The Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of China has implemented a series of plastic reduction measures to protect the environmental quality of Macao. Macao will ban the import of non-biodegradable disposable plastic knives, forks and spoons from 2023.

The Government of Macao Special Administrative Region of China is in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 1 (5) of Article 5 of Foreign Trade Law No. 7/2003 as amended by Law No. 3/2016.
