1. Non-degradable plastic bag.
By the end of 2020, shopping malls, supermarkets, pharmacies, bookstores and other places in China's municipalities directly under the Central Government, provincial capitals, and planned cities, as well as food and beverage packaging and takeaway services and various exhibition activities, are prohibited from using non-degradable plastic bags. By the end of 2022, the scope of implementation will be expanded to all urban prefecture-level built-up areas and county-level built-up areas in coastal areas. By the end of 2025, non-degradable plastic bags are banned from the bazaars in the above regions. Encourage places where conditions permit to stop using non-degradable plastic bags in urban-rural junctions, towns, and rural markets.
2. Single-use plastic tableware.
By the end of 2020, non-degradable disposable plastic straws will be banned nationwide in the catering industry. The use of non-degradable single-use plastic tableware in the catering canteen service of built-up areas and scenic spots in cities above the prefecture level is prohibited. By the end of 2022, the use of non-degradable single-use plastic tableware is prohibited in the catering service provided by the county seats and scenic spots. By 2025, the consumption intensity of non-degradable disposable plastic tableware in the catering and take-out area of cities above the prefecture level will drop by 30%.
3. Single-use plastic products in hotels and hotels.
By the end of 2022, nationwide star hotels, hotels and other places will no longer actively provide single-use plastic supplies. By the end of 2025, the scope of implementation will be extended to all hotels, hotels, and homestays.
