The 2021 Finance Bill enacts a plastic packaging tax (the "Tax") by legislating for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly tax system. Only plastic packaging components manufactured in the UK or imported into the UK after 1 April 2022 will be included in the calculation of the tax.
